Core Side Table brings together cast bronze and cast glass in a
composition shaped by the relationship between a centre and its
surrounding structure. A circular cast-glass inset rests within an irregular
bronze frame, its textured surface catching light against the warmth
of the metal. Beneath the top, the bronze body narrows and expands
around elongated openings, creating a shifting interplay of solid form
and negative space. Though shaped through the same process of casting,
the two materials retain distinct surface qualities. The glass forms a quiet
centre, while the bronze traces an organic structure around and beneath it.
